Starting a business is an appealing idea for many women, but do you have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur? This session helps you explore the advantages and challenges of being self-employed. It will also provide you with answers to frequently asked question including: How do I register my business name? Do I require any special licenses and permits? How do I finance this idea? A Business Advisor from the Women’s Enterprise Centre will guide you through the resources available at the Centre and introduce you to services delivered by our business network partners to help you put your dream into action. Pat Sargeant, Entrepreneurship Coordinator
A member of the team since the Centre opened, Pat has extensive experience in human resources, organizational and administrative management, project management, event planning, and client service support. Pat holds a Certificate in Human Resource Management from the University of Manitoba and developed the Centre's organizational procedures manuals and human resource policies and procedures. In her role as Entrepreneurship Coordinator, she works directly with early stage entrepreneurs, helping them to evaluate their business idea, guiding them to relevant resources and outlining the steps necessary for successful business start.

There is ample parking in lots and at meters close to the Centre.
Meters are free weekdays after 5:30 pm. Meters accept all denominations of coins, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. The meter dispenses a receipt to put on the dash of the vehicle.
